We practice within the protocols of a Scope of Practice and do not endorse any products or Diet plan. Question whether you are looking for life-time change which is what I promote, learning to understand your drivers, both negative and positive or simply want an unsustainable quick-fix. A suitable coach is one you will instantly resonate with when you have a complimentary discovery call. They will listen more than they talk. They are a reliable source of independent information and non-judgmental.
I get to know about you and your past history and will do a written profile on you to find out if what you require is within my scope of practice. Sessions are determined by what actions you want to take and it is my role to question you and provide tools in such a way that you establish new habits slowly but effectively.
I need to get a written brief if it is for a business and we will then take it from there.
Health coaching is not just a simple matter of addressing only one issue in isolation; however it is important to address only one issue at a time! As a health coach, I must stress the importance that health issues do not occur in isolation. So, problems either sleep, nutritional knowledge, stress management, mental health.
We often work on the result we aim for eg to lose weight, when the real problem may be a lack of discipline, poor planning, cravings, not understanding product labeling, etc. A good coach will help you uncover the reason(s) you don’t sustain weight loss, which in itself, is easy. Keeping it off is all about life issues and a whole lot harder. The information out there is confusing and over-whelming and much of it to benefit a company’s financial status. We all need help in questioning our Emotional, Physical and Mental health; it all needs to be in balance. You can’t outwit or outrun a poor diet or lifestyle. There are consequences. I help you identify your red flags and prevent or manage conditions. I also have time which is what you need with change.
Can you afford to experiment with your family’s health?
When you work on one area of your life eg Health, it seldom only impacts that area alone, but influences and is influenced by other aspects eg Social, Working life, etc. It’s inevitable that some areas will dominate. Together I will help you gather a holistic picture of your life to ascertain what is working and what not to obtain balance before you start on a new goal. I use insightful questioning using scientifically tested and backed techniques and information from on-going research. This is from the Health Coaches Academy which is an accredited company based in the UK.
With guidance, help, coaching, motivation, accountability and encouragement I help you undo the damage done using small actions taken weekly over a sustained period of time till new behaviours are in place. No pills, no empty promises, no unresolved intentions, no quick fixes or fads, no dieting, no excuses, just understanding our behavior so that we have sustainable and lasting change! Coaching guides you through challenges and relapses until the new habit is familial.
We have weekly meetings, either live or on Zoom and I check in to find out what’s working and what’s not.. We reflect and re-assess your actions with your values and I keep you motivated, holding the space for you to think about deeper issues, we explore pertinent reasons why you haven’t achieved long term success, I hold you accountable and I mentor you in the nuts and bolts of Nutrition and Wellness. Alternatively you can explore these issues in the additional support of a group workshop. Friends made here can last a lifetime and be part of your long-term health success and support.
Absolutely. If we think the issue is medical, then appropriate referrals are made. We don’t dispense medication neither do we suggest any form of supplement unless the blood work has been done and then we may support what recommendations have been made.
The aim is to support all health practitioners and not contradict, but we do believe in a natural way of using lifestyle and food as medicine with avoidance uppermost in mind, rather than chasing a diagnosis of ill health or worse, a life-style condition and using medication to treat.
We do not diagnose and treat medical conditions, but use a client-centred approach and behavioural strategies to help individuals create and stick to a health plan. We do support health practitioners by supporting their patients with expertise, patience, time and experience.
There are various cost levels depending on what you choose and how many sessions you require. These are available on the general program. The question to ask is what is the cost to you and a future health being illness-free, if you do nothing because of the cost of coaching?
